Michael Cormier, Author of SALTONSTALL to speak at iFarm in Boxford

  • iFarm 55 Towne Road Boxford, MA, 01921 United States (map)

Salem, 1692: Fear grips the community as accusations of witchcraft spread like wildfire. Only one judge, Nathaniel Saltonstall of Haverhill, will have the courage to stand for truth before scores of innocent victims are sent to their deaths. Based on the true story, Saltonstall recounts how this remarkable man stood alone for the accused, despite the risks to himself and his family.

At ifarm, Michael will explain the real (often misunderstood) history of the Salem Witch Trials, while setting the scene for the play’s hero, Nathaniel Saltonstall. He will also explain the ways that the town of Boxford and John Towne, the founder of the Towne Farm (today ifarm LLC), were intimately connected with the witch trials!

This event is free and in collaboration with the Boxford Town Library!

PUNCTUATE4 Productions will be producing the fully-staged version of the play at the theater at Northern Essex Community College from November 1 -4.  Details and ticket information to be found here:
